WHAT WE DO
Goods for Girls is a not for profit organisation which acknowledges the connection between a healthy lifestyle and encouraging young women to stay in school.
Established in 2012, Goods for Girls is committed to improving the school performance and attendance of girls in rural, developing communities through the provision of feminine hygiene products and services. We sew reusable sanitary pads and distribute them to schools, using local materials and partners.
Our first project was based in Muhaka, on the Kenyan Coast. In 2014 we moved to the Nanyuki region in central Kenya.
Right now, we're working in Nanyuki with the support of our partners Rift Valley Adventures and the Usawa Foundation to sew and distribute reusable sanitary pads, build toilets in schools and provide support for health training in schools.
